Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane says the club will sign any player available during the current transfer window period, as long as they add value.
Chiefs have been linked with a few players in the Premier Soccer League, including Bafana Bafana midfielder Pule Mmodi. Mmodi is currently a Golden Arrows player but his club has indicated he is available provided there is a right offer.
There have also been a few trialists at Kaizer Chiefs but the club is yet to confirm any signing.
New signing Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana has also proved to be useful upfront with seven league goals so far. When asked if there were players that the club has earmarked, Zwane said the club is forever searching.
“We are forever looking for good players,” he told the media on Thursday.
“As a club, we want to win silverware, we want to compete. If we get good players we will definitely go for them.
ON THE KAIZER CHIEFS SCOUTING DEPARTMENT
“We have a team that is doing that job behind the scenes. They have done quite well so far and that is why it is key for us to thoroughly profile the players before they get here.”
“Also have a closer look at them in terms of action and from there we will come up with a decision and that is the approach we have decided to take as a club,” added Zwane.
ON THE DEPARTMENT THEY WANT TO BEEF UP
“As I said, any good player that can come and add value. Regardless of the position, any good player, we will fo for him.”
Kaizer Chiefs recently lost midfielder Njabulo Blom who has moved to Major League Soccer club St Louis City. DStv Diski Challenge product Samkelo Zwane has fitted in like a glove in Blom’s absence.
