DR Congo striker Christian Saile has made a huge impression during his debut for Kaizer Chiefs in the DStv Premiership match against Royal AM on Sunday.
Saile, who signed for Chiefs from Nchanga Rangers in Zambia, came in the second half in the 2-0 at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The 22-year-old joins Amakhosi with a reputation of being a goal scoring machine. He scored 19 goals to help Rangers gain promotion to the premiership last season.
The left footed forward did not waste time as he made an immediate impact providing an assist for Chiefs second goal that was scored by Ashley Du Preez.
KAIZER CHIEFS COACH ZWANE APPLUADS CHRISTIAN SAILE
Zwane was left impressed with Saile’s first match for the Soweto giants.
“We knew that when Christian came here (he will have an impact),” he told journalists after the match.
“We didn’t want to start him with the game the reason being we wanted to look at how the opposition will set up. We also didn’t want to put him under pressure. The idea was for him to read the game from the bench and then capitalise.
“Whatever information that we gave him before he went in, he did exactly that and it worked for us. Congratulations to him and the rest of the guys for executing the plan,” he said.
Christian Saile joins other players from DRC who have played for Chiefs such as Botende Eshele and Kabamba Musasa.
