BIGGER AND BETTER LIMPOPO CHAMPIONSHIP

The launch was attended by amongst others representatives from the Sunshine Tour and Limpopo Tourism agency.

“We are very excited as the Limpopo Tourism agency to continue with our relationship with the Sunshine Tour of the Limpopo Championship that is going to be hosted here at Euphoria Golf Estate,” said LTA Board Chairperson Andrew Dipela.

“We are excited because we are seeing the benefits that are arising in hosting this type of event because we can attest that there have been 175 temporary employees that were employed last year.

“We have a lot of Golfers now who are also bringing their families because the golf courses in this district have other facilities that you are able to enjoy while the Golder is on the course and families and kids can enjoy what we have here in Waterberg.”

POSITIVE FEEDBACK FROM INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS

Marketing manager at Sunshine Tour Mcebisi Mtshali says they pride themselves with the positive feedback they receive from both local and international players.

“One of the feedback that we get the most is that they will never get over that they are able to play Gold and have animals walking next to them,” he said.

“We always get feedback from players that come from overseas. But we also get incredible feedback from South African players who might not come to Limpopo often. They are always amazed by the quality of the Golf courses but also the surrounding. The Tourism activities that are here that they can get up to.

“There is so much more than Golf that Limpopo has to offer. A great example is that we have international Golfers that come here five years in a row. That speaks for itself,” added Mtshali.

The tournament will start with the PRO/AM event on 27 March. There are also scheduled events such as the comedy night at the same venue.
