Bruce Bvuma has revealed how there is unity amongst Kaizer Chiefs goalkeepers when one gets the nod ahead of the other.

The PSL giants currently have Itumeleng Khune, Brandon Petersen and Bvuma in their goalkeeping department.

Petersen has enjoyed more game time amongst the three, playing in the last six DStv Premiership matches with Khune supporting on the bench.

UNITY AMONGST KAIZER CHIEFS GOALKEEPERS

Bvuma was also the preferred choice at some point but has now dropped to the stands. The 27-year-old says there is good support amongst them regardless of who is playing.

“For me at Chiefs we have very good goalkeepers. The competition is very high and at the moment Brandon is doing very well. So as other keepers we are supporting him and giving him all the support we can,” he said.

“So you can’t expect the coach to make changes because Brandon is doing so well for the team.

“For me as I am not playing I just need to keep on working hard. Making sure that you are ready because you never know what is going to happen and what the coach has also been saying you need to keep working hard and your chance will come. As you mentioned about the rotation and every keeper needing to play, every player wants to play but we are 30 something and you can’t play everyone.

ON WHY HE WAS DROPPED AS THE PREFERRED NUMBER ONE

“Well we have four quality goalkeepers at Chiefs. So I was given a chance to play so they decided to change for good reasons. They played Itu and he did well. Now they are playing Brandon and he is doing well. So now I have to work hard and hope my chance will come again.”
