Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has refused to comment on the negotiations between the club and midfielder Andile Jali. 

Jali’s representatives Prosport international have been quoted several times making comments about the negotiations.

The 32-year-old is left with six months on his contract with the defending DStv Premiership champions. He has been linked with moves to Kaizer Chiefs as well as Cape Town City.

Mike Makaab who is the founder of Prosport has called on the club to make a decision on  their stance regarding the player.

But when asked on Tuesday about the players future, coach Rulani Mokwena refused to comment. 

“I don’t want to get too much into that space. Because it is quite polluted with so much hearsay,” said Mokwena.

“So I will rather not comment because I have spoken much about it before [to the media]. 

“So, to avoid being misquoted, I would rather not say and wait for the club to give a directive on the matter,” added Mokwena. 

Jali has featured less for Masandawana this season amid the growing speculation that he is due to leave. He is in his fifth season with Sundowns since his return from a stint at Belgian club KV Oostende. Jali previously spent five seasons at Sundowns rivals Orlando Pirates.
