All the DStv Premiership big three, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and Mamelodi Sundowns will be on the road this weekend as the league action resumes. Kaizer Chiefs will be seeking to pick up points on the road against one of the most difficult opponents and Stellenbosch will try to stop the unstoppable train.

ORLANDO PIRATES DO BATTLE IN THE ORIGINAL SOWETO DERBY

On match day 22 of the DStv Premiership the original Soweto derby will see Swallows welcome Orlando Pirates at the Dobsonville Stadium on Friday evening at 19h30. The rivalry between these two sides goes a long way but in their recent encounter, the Buccaneers had the bragging rights.

The Dube Birds, who are now in 14th place on the log, will be under greater strain, and it will be particularly difficult because Pirates will also be trying to atone for their 1-0 loss to archrival Kaizer Chiefs.

KAIZER CHIEFS PAYS A VISIT TO THE RICH BOYS

On Saturday, Richards Bay will play host to Chiefs at King Zwelithini stadium. Depending on how Pirates perform tonight, either fourth or third place will undoubtedly be on the line since all these clubs are now tied on 31 points. But most crucially, the Rich Boys will make every effort to prevent the Soweto giants from surpassing them, especially while they are playing at home.

Later on, Sekhukhune would have made the trip to KZN for another nail-biting encounter against Royal AM, who are only one point behind them. Thwihli Thwahla will use this game to climb to the eighth spot in the log standings.

A guaranteed thrilling show between Maritzburg United and Cape Town City will also be crucial for the hosts as they are fighting to escape the relegation zone.
