Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Dillon Sheppard has pointed out the need for consistency in terms of their performances on the field. 

Chiefs have been blowing hot and cold under coach Arthur Zwane in the current PSL season.

Sheppard was speaking ahead of the last 16 tier against Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars on Sunday. He insists the team is in the right space to maintain consistent performances. 

DILLON SHEPPARD CALLS FOR CONSISTENCY 

“Of course, consistency is very important,” he said during a media briefing on Thursday. 

“If you take the Golden Arrows game out of it, with three clean sheets going into that game. A lot of energy, a lot of good positivity, and all of a sudden it’s one of those games where we go into a lead twice.

“I don’t want to say throw it away. Now we seem to be back where we were so right consistency is the right word. It’s important for us now that we are a quarterfinal berth,” he added.

“We need to focus on that and that’s the game coming up. Gaining momentum and taking into TO the next games that follow so that’s important.
