Online global betting company Betway, has partnered with Futballing Girls in hosting the Women in Sport Summit.
The three-day programme is set to take place at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), Kingsway Campus between 28 and 30 March. 20 female sports administrators from across Gauteng will gather for the in-depth workshop.

In addition to the workshop, Betway has once again pulled out all the stops to ensure that the delegates benefit from a wide range of sport industry experts.
Speaking ahead of the much-anticipated programme, Betway Marketing Manager, Mark Rowles said the brand was looking forward to kicking off its first CSR activity for the year.
“We have always been passionate about these initiatives and believe in the value that they add to community sport,” said Rowles.
“With sport being the heartbeat of our business, it is of utmost importance that we continue to give back. Not only do we believe in giving back to the communities in which we operate.
“But we strongly believe in making an impact and this is why we are excited about such an amazing programme targeted at women in sports,” added Rowless.
FUTBALLING GIRLS EAGER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Futballing Girls founder, Moonira Ramathula said they were honoured to once again be partnering with Betway. To make a positive difference in an already challenging space of women in sport.

Women’s sport in South Africa continues to be on the rise. We therefore must ensure that we capacitate our female administrators with the necessary tools and knowledge for them to adequately support this exciting trajectory that women’s sport is in,” said Ramathula.
WOMEN IN SPORT SUMMIT
Some of the guest speakers expected to be part of the panel discussion on Thursday, 30 March include the Chairperson of the Federation of African University Sport (FASU) and UJ Senior Director of Sport, Ms Nomsa Mahlangu. Gauteng Sport for Physically Disabled Administrator, Maria Combrink. Senior women’s cricket team player, Tumi Sekhukhune as well as former netball national team player, Simnikiwe Mdaka.
