Match week eight proved how the 2023 SAFA Hollywoodbets Super League season continues to be a challenge for the defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies as they suffered a shock defeat.
UWC was the first team to register a win on Saturday against the Copperbelt Ladies FC. Followed by the University of Pretoria in a close one away from home by putting goals past Durban Ladies who managed to score one.

Sunday produced two goals from both fixtures with JVW scoring one goal to secure maximum points against TUT FC. And it was a weekend to forget for Sundowns ladies who succumbed to a 1-0 loss from Royal AM.
