Orlando Pirates have made contact with Katlego Otladisa’s representatives, preparing for bringing the sensational forward to the Buccaneers, LimSportsZone has learnt.
According to our reliable source, the Marumo Gallants player could be the Soweto Giants player, come next season. Pirates are said to have been working on a deal. But are adamant the next step must come from Gallants and the player himself.
This publication understands Otladisa’s people have spoken with Pirates directors to provide detailed instructions on how to make this transfer happen.
The 26-year-old dribbling wizard has also been linked to various DStv Premiership clubs. This also includes Kaizer Chiefs in the past two seasons.
ORLANDO PIRATES SHOW INTEREST IN KATLEGO OTLADISA
The Buccaneers are pushing ahead with their plans for the next transfer window and Otladisa is one of their targets.
“Orlando Pirates directors have made contact with Katlego Otladisa’s agent. They want to bring him to their team,” LimSportsZone source revealed.
“They are truly interested, and he could join the club next season. That is what I know so far. So don’t be surprised if you see him joining Pirates.”
OTLADISA’S AGENT’S COMMENT
While this publication contacted the player’s representative, Nimrod Mbhalati of Nida Sport, he couldn’t confirm the news.
Mbhalati denied there is any type of agreement between him and Pirates, insisting if there is anything, it could be between the two clubs.
“Look we all know the talent he has and it’s not surprising that there is an interest. But from my side I haven’t got an official offer from any team,” Mbhalati told LimSportsZone.
“Most of these interests I read from the news and as for today my phone can’t stop ringing about these rumours. But look I think now it’s not about him obviously because of the position his team is at.
“You know what I mean, his focus is to save the team and everything will unfold itself come the end of the season.”
It remains to be seen if an agreement can be reached over Otladisa, who has been an important asset for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa this season. More especially in the CAF Confederations tournament.
