Phuti “Dragon” Sekwadi, who is a Karate Champion from Limpopo is seeking donations to realise his dream. Sekwadi, a brown belt student at the Limpopo Kyokushin Karate Academy in Polokwane, is due to attend an international tournament in Thailand.

He is short of R6 000 registration fee which is due on Friday, 5 May 2023 to go and represent South Africa.

Sekwadi earned a spot at the international karate tournament after many recent championships in local and national karate tournaments. The international tourney is organised by World Kumite Organisation. It will also afford Sekwadi to compete against other karatekas from across the globe.

Dojo head and Senior instructor at the Kyokushin Karate Academy Sensei Molefi Moloto has pleaded with the community to help where they can.

“However, without sufficient funds to register for the tournament, he may not be able to attend this tournament. It will be a missed opportunity for him to showcase his skills. Learn from other top-notch karate practitioners from around the world”, said Moloto.
