Morgan Mammila has chosen a Premier Soccer League experienced coach as an assistant to him as Chippa United coach.
The veteran football administrator, who turned to be a coach last year, will be the man to succeed Lehlohonolo Seema in the Chilli Boys hot seat. The club announced on Tuesday.
Mammila is primed to take charge and change the fortunes of the club in the 2023/2024 season. It would be his second stint at the Eastern Cape-based club.

In their statement when announcing Mammila, Chippa have confirmed that a long-serving member of the team, Siyabulela Gwambi will be the assistant coach.
However, LimSportsZone can confirm that Mammila wants Kopo to be part of the new technical setup as there will be a major rebuild required at the club next season.
“Coach Morgan wants Kwanele Kopo to be his assistant. They want to have a strong technical team next season,” the LimSportsZone source revealed.

This publication has also gathered that the former SuperSport United coach has been talking to Chippa, of late, about taking the assistant job.
“Kopo has been talking to Chippa, lately and everything will be finalized no later than the end of June. It’s highly possible that he joins Chippa, ” said our source.
“Now the issue is that Kopo’s contract with Pretoria Callies comes to an end by month end. So they are still sorting out that issue.”
