Raja Casablanca have completed the signing of Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder Haashim Domingo as a free agent, the Moroccan giants announced on Wednesday.

This is after reports emerged a few weeks ago that Domingo and Sundowns could not agree on terms to sign a new contract.
His contract with Masandawana is due to expire at the end of June.

The 27-year-old midfielder has agreed a two-year deal with Casablanca. The club was announced in a short statement.

“Let’s all welcome our new attacking midfielder Haashim Domingo,” reads the club’s statement.

The former now defunct Bidvest Wits FC star had been expected to sign for Casablanca a few days ago, with Kaizer Chiefs also said to be interested in his services. But Raja succeeded with an early swoop after Downs’ fate.

Domingo’s move to Morocco ends his three-season stay at Sundowns, where he won Nedbank Cup, MTN8, and the Premiership titles. He has made over 50 appearances for the club, scoring five goals and assisting six times.
