Kaizer Chiefs supporter Masilo Machaka believes Khama Billiat can still help the club to go back to its glory days. This is despite his future still unknown with the Soweto giants.
Billiat’s contract with the PSL giants ended on the 30th of June 2023 after making twelve appearances for Amakhosi in all competitions last season. Chiefs have confirmed on their social media that they tabled a new offer for Zimbabwean born. But the player has not responded to their offer or any attempts to contact him.

In fact, the last time they met with the player was a day before his contract expired. He has not answered any of the calls made or messages sent by the club.
However, Machaka Masilo hopes Amakhosi will extend Billiat’s contract further despite not playing a lot of matches for Chiefs last season.
“We still need Khama [Billiat], he’s a good player and he won the champions league with Sundowns,” Machaka told LimSportsZone.
“When he came to Kaizer Chiefs he couldn’t produce the results he produced when he was at Sundowns.
“But I still believe in him. I still hope he has much to offer in Naturena,” he said.
The 32-year-old has struggled with game time due to injuries last season. But he was back on training before his contract with Amakhosi ended.
Kaizer Chiefs have beefed up their squad with Pule Mmodi and Tebogo Potsane ahead of the new season who play similar positions like Billiat.
AMAKHOSI STILL NEED THE ZIMBABWEN INTERNATIONAL?
Machaka believes the salary cut might be the reason why Billiat hasn’t extended his contract with Chiefs.
“Salary cut might be the reason why he is not at the camp with the team,” he stated.
Kaizer Chiefs have also parted ways with Auston Dube, Cole Alexander and Phathutshedzo Nange.
