TS Galaxy midfielder Bathusi Aubaas has completed his move to DStv Premiership defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns. Masandawana confirmed the move on their social media pages on Wednesday.

Aubaas becomes the latest high-profile addition to The Brazilians’ squad. But might not be available for their league opener against Sekhukhune United on Friday.

The Bafana Bafana midfielder was a notable absentee when Galaxy unveiled their new signings and the squad for the 2023/24 season.

He had an excellent campaign for Galaxy, where he spent five seasons, the last three of which have been in the PSL top tier.

He has also played for the now-defunct Free State Stars.

“What attracted me to Sundowns is that they have a winning mentality,” he said.

“One thing I want to achieve here in the club, I want to win a lot of titles. I’m not here to relax, I’m here to work, and I’m here to learn.”

Aubaas was handed his Bafana Bafana debut in the 2-1 CAF Africa Cup of Nations victory over Morocco.

He joins the likes of Thapelo Maseko [SuperSport United], Junior Mendieta [Stellenbosch], Lesiba Nku [Marumo Gallants] and Lucas Ribeiro [Beveren, Belgium] who have joined the club.
