AL Ahly legend Mokhtar says that he can feel fear when Ahly comes up against other African teams in the super league, but it’s more excessive when facing Mamelodi Sundowns.
The ten-time CAF Champions League winners, Ahly are set to play Tanzanian giants, Simba SC in the quarter-finals of the newly formed tournament, African Super League, in October.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s Sundowns will be locking horns with Petro de Luanda of Angola. Should Masandawana and Ahly win their respective matches, they will face each other in the semi-finals.
Actually, The Brazilians have not lost any game against Al Ahly since May 2021. In their previous five games, Masandawana came out victorious three times. The other two matches were draws.

“Al Ahly are capable of beating any team in Africa, but our calculations always change before facing Sundowns.”
