PSL coach Joel Masutha has resigned from his role at Limpopo-based club Venda FC after some poor results. The club has appointed Johnny Ferreira who had been acting as a technical advisor.
The latest developments follow a dissipating 5-1 defeat by Maritzburg United on Wednesday evening.

In an unusual way of doing things, the club also posted the contents of his resignation letter on social media platforms.
VENDA FC COACH JOEL MASUTHA OFFICIALLY RESIGNED
“It is with great regret to inform you that I’m resigning from the head coach position with immediate effect. I am not greedy and don’t want to drag the team down the drain,” the club revealed in the letter.
“VFC’s current Technical Advisor, My John Ferreira, has agreed to step in as Interim Head Coach. Please note, that the Club shall not make further public statements/comments on the matter.”
