Limpopo DStv Premiership outfit Marumo Gallants have moved quickly to deny rumours of the club’s imminent relocation to another province.

In a video circulating on social media, a Bloemfontein supporters Chairman can be seen reading a letter that comes from Gallants Chairman Abram Sello.

The letter was read during what looked like a supporters meeting involving Celtic supporters in Mangaung.

MARUMO DENY RUMOURS

But the club issued a statement on Thursday, denying that there was such an agreement in place.

“In response to a video being circulated, Marumo Gallants F.C. Chairman Mr. Abram Sello would like to confirm that he has not written / dispatched any letter or statement regarding the future of the club, nor has he authorized any other person to speak on his behalf. Marumo Gallants will issue official updates and statements in due course,” the club said.

There are also rumours that the club could find themselves being based in Pretoria as early as January next year. The latest development is an indication that the relationship with Marumo and Polokwane City is as good as done.
