President of DStv Premiership side AmaZulu FC Sandile Zungu has confirmed the departure of Lehlohonolo Majoro and the arrival of Celimpilo Ngema. Usuthu have started their squad trimming preparing for the 2023/2024 season.

During a media brief on Monday in Durban, president Sandile Zungu confirmed the deal in terms of incoming to the PSL side.

AMAZULU CONFIRMS CELIMPILO NGEMA SIGNING

Marumo Gallants midfielder, Celimpilo Ngema became the first player to be announced by the club. And it’s not a secret that AmaZulu FC are expected to sign more players in due course.

Now 25, Ngema has spent the last three seasons with Gallants. Appearing in more than 90 games across all competitions and scoring eight goals with six assists.

He joins AmaZulu after helping the now-relegated Gallants to finish in the semi-finals of the CAF Confederations Cup last season, despite failing to help them to save their top-flight status.

“I think Celimpilo Ngema knew that we had a pre-contract with him. He is looking forward to coming on board at AmaZulu and we look forward to having him here,” Zungu said.

USUTHU RELEASE LEHLOHONOLO MAJORO, AND MORE TO FOLLOW

The KwaZulu-Natal outfit continues to be one of the most active teams in terms of introducing changes to their teams currently.

In addition, the president spoke about another target, which is to make further adjustments to their squad team.

Lehlohonolo Majoro has already been released by Usuthu. The veteran striker leaves the club after his four years stay in Durban.

It has also been confirmed that ten more players are on their way out from AmaZulu. This comes after the club also finished outside the top eight in the past DStv Premiership campaign.
