There was controversy in Limpopo on Sunday when Copperbelt Ladies and City Lads FC shared the spoils during a Hollywoodbets Super League match at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The City Lads picked up a point on the road after Copperbelt Ladies were awarded a goal that should have never been. The Incident happened towards the end of the match. The visitors were 2-1 up at the time when the ball hit the post and went back to the field with the teams from both sides continuing to play.

A BIT OF CONTROVERSY AT OLD PETER MOKABA

But to everyone’s surprise, both the assistant and the match referee awarded it as a ‘goal’. A disappointing incident that should never be encouraged in fast-growing women’s football.
