DStv Premiership side Royal AM have confirmed that the Court of Arbitration for Sport [CAS] have suspended their transfer ban. The ban was imposed on them by FIFA after they failed to payout striker Samir Nurkovic.

This comes after they couldn’t settle an R12m outstanding payment to Nurkovic. His contract was terminated last year before even playing in a single match.

Royal AM signed the former Kaizer Chiefs striker as a free agent on a two-year deal in July last year after he left Kaizer Chiefs. Royal then decided to terminate Nurkovic’s contract three months later, having given him a two-year deal. The club was also given a sanction banning them from any transfer activity.

The club then made an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) who then suspended the ban.
