Limpopo ABC Motsepe League side Emmanuel FC have confirmed the departure of former Orlando Pirates defender Ayanda Gcaba.
Ayanda Gcaba has been part of the Giyani-based club since the beginning of the season.
Gcaba has played for clubs such as Free State Stars, Platinum Stars, Royal Eagles as well as Jomo Cosmos. He has also featured two times for Bafana Bafana.
AYANDA GCABA DEPARTURE EXPLAINED
Emmanuel released a statement on Monday, confirming Ayanda Gcaba has left alongside other players.
“The club has since released the following players: Kabila, Fumani Zama-Zama, Ncovi Muhluri, Ayanda Qcaba, Xolile, Lucky (Musina), Lunghisani,” the club wrote on their Facebook page.
“Our next game against Vondwe XI Bullets will be played on Saturday, 21 January 2023.
“Cascar, Musa Valungu, Brothers Pat Mashimbye and Oscar Khosa won two big tournaments in December 2022 and will continue to drive the bench alongside Coach Zungu until the end of 2022/2023 season,” they said.
“They also form part of the Executive Management as an additional member, General Manager, Team Manager and Transport Manager respectively.”
“Wha, Sindisiwe, Tata, Bafana, Lucky boy, Gomez, Jomo, Thobani and Phemelo aka King Monada are expected to join our local players who brought glory to the team. “Tournament Strikers Websley from Phalaborwa and Sir Bafana from Shimange Village will be registered as our new players.”
EMMANUEL FC LEAGUE FORM
Emmanuel are currently sixth on the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League stream A. They have nine points from the opening seven matches.
The club is not yet free from relegation as they are only two points above the bottom-placed Mikhado FC.
They are a bit far from log leaders Mpheni Home Defenders. Home Defenders are on 21 points, 12 points above Emmanuel.
