VENDA FC APPOINT JOHNNY FERREIRA AS TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

They have drawn two home matches and lost one away to Upington City. Meanwhile, the well-traveled Ferreira was at the club’s training ground in Louis Trichardt on Monday. The club has not officially confirmed the latest changes but sources have confirmed that the changes have taken place.

Seasoned PSL coach Johnny Ferreira has made a surprise switch by quitting his job at Black Leopards and returning to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM).

Ferreira only joined Black Leopards in November last year, ironically after quitting at TTM.

He was in charge only for four matches at Leopards. The first match was during the Nedbank Cup loss against Polokwane City. The resukt was followed by two league draws against All Stars as well as rivals Venda Football Academy.

His last game in charge was a 2-1 defeat at home to Uthongathi this past Saturday.

OLD NEW CHALLENGE FOR JOHNNY FERREIRA

He leaves Leopards at the bottom of the Motsepe Foundation Championship after 15 matches played. Ferreira is set to take over at a TTM side that is relocating to the Free State.

Club owner Masala Mulaudzi has confirmed that the club will be hosting their home matches at Petrus Stadium. This will begin in the first week of February when they host Platinum City Rovers.

Meanwhile, the ban against TTM by FIFA has been uplifted. This is after TTM paid the money owed to Zimbabwean international goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda.

Sibanda had taken the club football World governing body for breach of contract.

Black Leopards coach Johnny Ferreira and his technical team will be hoping that the addition of newly signed Jackson Mabokgwane helps the club.

Lidoda Duvha turned to the experienced former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Mabokgwane in an attempt to move the team away from relegation zone.
