HAASHIM DOMINGO LEAVES MASANDAWANA
The public broadcaster has reported this week that Domingo, 27 is on his way out from Chloorkop as the two parties couldn’t agree on signing a new deal and the Tshwane giants have already identified his replacement.
Mendieta is also linked to Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. But coach Rulani Mokwena’s side seems to have got up ahead of the two giants to secure the star’s signature.
Mendieta joined Stellenbosch in July 2020 from Argentine Club Atlético Lanús, but was loaned out back to Lanus. He then returned to the Cape Town club a year later in the 2021/2022 season.
The Argentinean star has since established himself as one of the best players in the DStv Premiership. In the past season, Mendieta has scored nine goals, assisted eight times. He was nominated for the Premier Soccer League (PSL) midfielder of the season.
