NETBALL SOUTH AFRICA CONFIRMS NO LOAD-SHEDDING

While many continue to bear the brunt of load shedding, an area where the world cup will be hosted, will be spared the never-ending power outages plaguing the nation. That is, per the Netball South Africa CEO, de la Guerre.

“We engaged in extensive discussions with the match venue organizers and the City of Cape Town. They devised a robust strategy to ensure no load shedding during the event,” De la Guerre said as quoted by SABC Sport.

“They have given us their assurance that measures will be diligently implemented to avert any potential disruptions. As we cannot afford even a simple moment of power outage.

“With international TV crews in attendance, any outage would incur significant costs for us. Additionally, there will be no load shedding at any hotels hosting our international guests.

“When asked about load shedding, we confidently assure that the tournament will remain entirely unaffected. Load shedding is not even a concern.”
