With preparations for the last round matches of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership League season in full swing, Sekhukhune United have announced the latest additions to strengthen the squad.

Defenders Mzwanele Mahashe and Philani Zulu are the latest acquisitions by the club.

Both players have a history with current coach Brandon Truter. Zulu played under Truter at KwaZulu-Natal based side AmaZulu during the 2021/22 PSL season.

Mahashe on the other hand also spent time on trial at Usuthu while Truter was the head coach but failed to secure a deal.

He says he is looking forward to the new challenges in this new environment. The 36-year-old insists he is going to work hard for consideration in the starting line up to assist the team to turn a corner in the DStv Premiership League.

Zulu couldn’t hide his excitement to be part of the Babina Noko Family as he will be reunited with his  former Coach Brandon Truter.

The 30-year-old also wants to make a significant impact by ensuring that the team finished in a respectable position.

‘Sekhukhune United FC would like to welcome Mahashe and Zulu to the Babina Noko family,” the club said in a statement.
