Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca are close to finalising a deal to sign Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder Haashim Domingo, iDiski Times reported.

The former now defunct Bidvest Wits University star will part ways with Sundowns when his contract comes to an end at the end of this month. This is after the two parties could not agree on terms to sign a new contract, as reported by SABC Sport.

Reports also suggested also wanted to extend the player’s contract when it ends on the 30th of this month. Which was coach Rulani Mokwena’s priority, though progress on the deal was slow, hence eventually collapsed.

The 27-year-old was in good form for the DStv Premiership reigning champions last season. He contributed three goals and two assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.

LOCAL TEAMS ALSO LINING UP

That form has seen Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United all linked with a potential move.

However, now, local reports claim that three – times CAF Champions winners Raja Casablanca are very close to signing Domingo on a free transfer deal.

It is understood that the discussions continue over the finer details of the deal. Reports suggest that the deal could be done in due course.
