Golden Arrows coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi has expressed desire to keep Orlando Pirates loanee Ntsako Makhubela at the club in accordance with his game time.  

In search of game time after a difficult first round of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign at the Pirates, Makhubela made the switch to Arrows last year on an undisclosed length deal.

The 28-year-old midfielder has adapted quickly to his former surroundings, despite netting ones in eight matches so far. He scored his goal against Kaizer Chiefs at Peter Mokaba Stadium two weeks ago.  

VUSUMUZI VILAKAZI WANTS NTSAKO MAKHUBELA TO STAY AT GOLDEN ARROWS  

Vilakazi, who is a co-coach along with ex-Chiefs striker, Mabudi Khenyeza at Abafana Bes’thende, is willing to keep Makhubela for him to contribute to the club in the years to come. 

“I know Makhubela is on loan, but if Makhubela wants to enjoy his football, he must ask Orlando Pirates to release him so that he can stay here,” Vilakazi told reporters after the match.

“It’s pointless to go back if you are not going to play. He is such a talented and quality player, but he needs game time.

“It is up to him as to how he handles this situation, but we would love to keep Makhubela as well.” 

Makhubela was in progress of settling in happily under the coach Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids until the duo were replaced by the Spanish mentor, Jose Riveiro at the beginning of the season.
