Limpopo side Marumo Gallants crashed out of the CAF Confederation Cup after a 2-1 defeat to Young Africans at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Wednesday night.
The win saw the Tanzanian giants book their first-ever Confederations Cup final with a crushing 4-1 aggregate victory. Yanga beat Gallants 2-0 in Tanzania at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium last week.

It was a typical display of the kind of gritty defending and swift counter-attacking from both side with plenty of chances, but they could not convert early in the game.
But just a minute before the break, a well-known striker, Fiston Mayele gave his side a lead after an error from Gallants’ defence.

Raymond Mdaga’s boys were unable to create enough quality opportunities to score in the second half. Africans doubled their lead through Kennedy Musonda after he was well-placed by Mayele in the 62nd minute.
It was too late in the 90th minute for the South African side when the scoring machine Ranga Chivaviro scored his sixth goal in the tournament.
Gallants are left to focus on the DStv Premiership campaign. They face a real battle to survive relegation and also earn a place in next year’s campaign.
They will face Swallows in the final match on Saturday at Dobsonville Stadium at 15h00.
